Your Little Fishes staff team are all highly qualified, dedicated & experienced individuals, with a wealth of previous knowledge, here because this is our chosen career path, feeling we have a lot to offer young children and their families.

We have been  a successful Pre-School for many years and envisage being in our current roles for many more.  We continually train to ensure we remain up to date with your children’s educational and pastoral needs.

Sophie Lewissophie-photo Principal Early Years Practitioner, Behaviour Management Practitioner: To provide safe, high quality education and care for all the Pre-School children; to fulfil legal and statutory requirements; to supervise staff on a day-to-day basis; to contribute to and implement Pre-School policies. I have the NNEB Diploma in childcare and NVQ4 in Business Management. I have been working in childcare for over 20 years in many different settings.  I have previously managed a day nursery and a crèche.  I have been told that I am a very friendly and approachable person, to both children and parents.  My door is always open.  I am happily married with four wonderful children who are growing up fast.  I understand your child is the most precious thing in the world and I work hard to help them develop as a happy and confident individual.

I have an NVQ Level 3 in Child Care, Learning & Development & have worked at Little Fishes since 2009. I have 2 children. I began my child care career in 2006, once my children started school, previously having worked as a Purser of Cabin Crew for British Airways giving me plenty of experience in managing people & organisational skills.

I have an NVQ Level 2 in Child Care, Learning & Development.
Both my children attended Little Fishes, I helped out during sessions & joined the committee which I enjoyed.
I have been a member of the staff team since 2003, gaining my qualifications whilst working. I continually attend all Borough Inclusion training courses & meetings.

To check Health & Safety, including Fire Safety procedures, within the Pre-School and keep records up to date.
I have an NVQ Level 3 in Child Care, Learning & Development.
I have worked at Little Fishes for the last three & a half years, continually attending courses to update my Health & Safety knowledge.
I have 2 children and have always worked in Early Years Education.
 
Sarah Gallagher2014-06-03 09.00.35 Early Years Practitioner, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner: To work as an Early Years Practitioner and as part of the Preschool team under the direction of the Preschool Principal EYP to provide safe, high quality education and care for young children.  I have been involved with Little Fishes since 2010 when my first child attended. In January 2013 I became a Parent volunteer and after realising how much I enjoyed working with children, I decided to become an Early years Practitioner. I began my Level 3 qualification in September 2013 and became a staff member in March 2014. I have 2 children.
Michelle Noyce2014-06-03 09.11.47 EYP Assistant: To support the Early Years Practitioners and be part of the Preschool team under the direction of the Preschool Principal EYP to provide safe, high quality education and care for young children I have always loved working with children and have been a registered child minder since 2010. I am fully trained and qualified in Early Years childcare. In 2014 I decided to move into an Early Years environment at Little Fishes Preschool. I have been involved with the Preschool since 2005 when my first child attended.  I have 3 children, all who went through Little Fishes. I was also a Committee member from 2010-2012.
Rebecca Humphreys Pre-School Administrator: Responsible for all Pre-School Administration and Financial management I have been working at Little Fishes for almost a year, after returning to work after having my two children. Prior to children I worked as a Personal Assistant to a Marketing Director of a large group of private hospitals. My daughter currently attends Little Fishes.

Little Fishes Committee Members

Whilst the daily management of Little Fishes is the Principal EYP’s responsibility, a committee of parents and church members under takes the general management.

Committee members are the trustees of the pre-school and together they are responsible for the overall management and smooth-running of the setting. This can mean anything from organising a summer fundraising event to negotiating with a landlord over the terms of a lease.

The committee also has responsibility for things like developing a business plan, managing the daily accounts and working with staff to ensure the setting follows health and safety, risk assessment, insurance and first aid guidance and procedures.

Committee Title Responsibilities
Chairperson Heads of Committee. Principal EYP reports to Chairperson, as do the staff through Principal EYP. Chair meeting. Co-ordinating items for agenda, Liaising with Pre-School Principal EYP, Appointing new members of staff, Staff appraisals, Update & inform Ofsted of changes of staff & committee changes, Correspondence,  Management of Pre-School.
